Labor Standards Under the Inflation Reduction Act

Submitted by Brown.Richard… on

On August 16, 2022, President Biden signed Public Law 117-369, 136 Stat. 1818, commonly known as the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, into law. Under the Inflation Reduction Act, taxpayers may receive increased tax benefits by meeting prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements.

Critical to providing good-paying jobs and supporting workforce development, the IRA offers enhanced tax benefits for constructing energy-efficient commercial buildings, new energy-efficient homes, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and other clean energy projects, to taxpayers that ensure Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wages are paid to workers and registered apprentices are utilized on such projects.

The U.S. Department of Labor invites you to register for an educational webinar on the labor standards provisions contained in the Inflation Reduction Act and Treasury Guidance. This webinar is a public event and it will take place on Thursday, December 15 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. EST.

If you require an accommodation or language interpretation to attend this webinar, please email WHD-Events@dol.gov at least five (5) business days prior to the event so we can make arrangements.

If you have questions, please email WHD-Events@dol.gov.
