Permanent Transition of Data Validation (DV) and Tax Performance System  (TPS) Applications from the Unemployment Insurance Database Management System (UIDBMS) to the Unemployment Insurance Reporting System (UIRS)
 

Purpose

To provide State Workforce Agencies (SWAs) with advance notice of the upcoming permanent transition of the DV and TPS applications from UIDBMS to UIRS; instructions to submit DV and TPS data to UIRS; and the decommissioning of the DV and TPS applications in UIDBMS effective August 15, 2024.

Compliance Assistance Event for Construction Contractors

Please join the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Arlington District Office as they host a compliance assistance event for federal construction contractors.  This event is open to federal construction contractors who are new, experience, and those seeking refresher training on What to Expect During a Construction Compliance Review.

During this presentation you will be provided information on

  • OFCCP (mission, laws, and jurisdiction).
  • Guides federal construction contractors through their Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action obligations when working on federal construction projects. 
  • Presentation addresses construction contractor obligations found under the regulations implementing EO 11246, VEVRAA, and Section 503. 
  • This presentation will also cover how to prepare for a compliance evaluation and the compliance review process.

A Call to Duty: Strategies for Educating Veterans on their Workplace Rights and Protections

Attendees will be introduced to OFCCP and the laws it enforces, will receive information on identifying discrimination in the workplace, and will be provided with information on filing a complaint with OFCCP. VRE will introduce attendees to the Veteran Readiness & Employment Program. They will also educate service-connected disabled veterans on the benefits that they may be entitled to receive, discuss barriers faced by veterans during the hiring process, and provide solutions to empower veterans to succeed in the workplace.
