Labor Cost Inputs

This document is about the data and methodology used by the Employee Benefits Security Administration, Office of Policy and Research, to estimate labor costs for use in regulatory impact analyses and Paperwork Reduction Act burden calculations. It covers the sources of data for mean hourly wages, total compensation, and overhead costs, as well as the calculations used to arrive at the final 2016 labor cost estimates for various occupations.
