This document is about the peer review of certain "influential scientific information" that the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) of the U.S. Department of Labor intends to disseminate in connection with a proposal to amend regulations governing the annual reporting requirements for employee benefit plans under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). The peer review focuses on evaluating the plan universe estimates, unit cost estimates, and the methods used in the spreadsheet model to generate the burden estimates, in order to assess the overall reliability and validity of the burden estimates.
