Notice of Critical Status

This document is about notifying the participants, beneficiaries, retirees, and participating employers of the Retirement Benefit Plan of the Newspaper and Magazine Drivers, Chauffeurs and Handlers Union Local 473 that the plan has been certified as being in "Critical Status" for the plan year beginning January 1, 2020. It explains the Pension Protection Act (PPA) requirements for multiemployer pension plans in critical status, the plan's rehabilitation plan, changes to adjustable benefits, and employer surcharges that may be required.
