This document is about an examination by the ERISA Advisory Council on the need for and potential scope of mandatory compensation and fee disclosures from Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) organizations to ERISA-governed health benefit programs. The report provides recommendations on requiring PBMs to disclose direct and indirect compensation to enable plan sponsors to determine reasonable compensation for PBM services.
