Effective Implementation of Priority of Service Provisions for Most in Need Individuals in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Program

Purpose

To convey the Employment and Training Administration's (ETA's) vision of the statutorily required priority of service provisions in the WIOA Adult program. ETA's goal is to work with states to strengthen state and local policies and procedures that enhance workforce development services to recipients of public assistance, low-income individuals, and individuals who are basic skills deficient.

Instructions for Submitting Amendment Requests to the Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance under the Trade Act of 1974

Purpose

To provide guidance to State Workforce Agencies (SWAs) or agencies designated by Governors as “Cooperating State Agencies” (CSAs) (jointly referred to as “states”) to submit Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) determination amendment requests to the Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance (OTAA).  Effective October 1, 2011, the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) encourages states to submit all requests to amend existing TAA certifications under the Trade Act of 1974, as amended via the following electronic mail address: amendments.taa@dol.gov.
