Advisory Opinion 2015-02A - Schneider Electric Holdings, Inc. and Schneider Electric USA, Inc. Stop-Loss Insurance Policies

This document is an advisory opinion from the U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration on whether stop-loss insurance policies purchased by Schneider Electric Holdings, Inc. and Schneider Electric USA, Inc. to manage risk associated with their self-insured contributory welfare plans would constitute plan assets under ERISA. The Department concludes the stop-loss policies would not be plan assets.
