ERISA Advisory Opinion - Pipeline Fund

This document is about an advisory opinion from the U.S. Department of Labor regarding whether a grant from the National Distribution Pipeline Industry Communications and Productivity Fund (the "Pipeline Fund") to a training fund would render the Pipeline Fund an employee welfare benefit plan within the meaning of Section 3(1) of ERISA. The Department concludes that the proposed grant would not, in and of itself, affect the status of the Pipeline Fund under Title I of ERISA.
