DOL Advisory Opinion 1994-07A

This document is about a Department of Labor advisory opinion regarding whether a health benefit arrangement sponsored by a trade association constitutes an employee welfare benefit plan or a multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA) under ERISA. The Department concludes that the arrangement is a MEWA and not an employee welfare benefit plan.
