Achieving Financial Equity in Retirement

This document is about unpacking the retirement savings crisis in the Black community and providing recommendations to the Department of Labor to address the racial retirement gap. It outlines how existing policies and the voluntary nature of the U.S. retirement system have contributed to disparities in retirement savings and security for people of color, particularly Black Americans. The document provides a series of recommendations to promote economic inclusion, income equality, and support for Black workers and businesses to help close these retirement security gaps.
