Safe fishing alliance: protecting fishers from forced labor and human trafficking
PrintA report introducing the Safe Fishing Alliances, an initiative of the SAFE Seas project. This alliance is a collaboration between representatives of relevant governmental agencies and NGOs at the national and provincial level. These alliances promote a common understanding of labor issues affecting the fishing industry and ensure collaboration and coordination between government agencies, the private sector, civil society, and fishing communities to ensure better enforcement against and reporting of harmful labor practices.
