Our international grants support projects to combat some of the most abusive labor practices, including the use of child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking in global supply chains. ILAB-funded projects also promote trade partners’ compliance with the labor requirements of U.S. trade agreements and preference programs – helping to ensure a fair global playing field for workers in the United States and around the world.

Bridging Barriers and Unlocking Potential Project12/31/2024 - 06/30/2029 The Bridging Barriers and Unlocking Potential (B-UP) project will increase the responsiveness of Cambodian Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and their key stakeholders to address labor exploitation and barriers that impede access to decent work. |

Project to Address Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Improve Working Conditions in Select Supply Chains in Brazil and Other Countries in Latin America and the Caribbean12/01/2024 - 11/30/2028 Starting in Brazil, the project will enlist government, employers, and workers’ organizations in sector-specific pacts (“pactos”) to address the challenges of child labor and forced labor and to improve working conditions in supply chains. The project will work to enhance collaboration among the pactos members, build their capacity, and enhance engagement with local worker- and community-serving organizations and individuals, bringing them into dialogue and decision-making processes and increasing worker voice throughout select supply chains. |

AgroJusto: Project to Improve Adherence to International Labor Standards in the Agricultural Sector in Ecuador12/31/2023 - 12/31/2028 The AgroJusto Project, implemented by Partners of the Americas, aims to improve compliance with international labor standards in the cut flower sector in Cotopaxi and the banana sector in El Oro. The project will use an area-based approach, reinforcing local ownership and building the capacity of local private, community, and government stakeholders. It will empower worker organizations, producer associations community and indigenous groups, and local entities to address labor violations. |
