Example in Action: USG's Responsible Sourcing Tool Sample Code of Conduct
The U.S. State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, in collaboration with Verité, the Aspen Institute, and Made in a Free World, re-launched the Responsible Sourcing Tool (RST) in 2022. The RST provides free information and tools to help companies, federal contractors, contracting professionals, and others understand and prevent the risks of human trafficking in supply chains. Risk data include global production and trade flows; numerous reports on human trafficking as well as reports focused on forced labor and/or child labor associated with the production of goods and the provision of services; and information about any countries in which trafficking-related problems have been reported in association with a particular supply chain or service. The following tools from the RST may be useful when designing a code of conduct or an IFA:
