OFCCP's Southeast Region begins its I AM ABLE-ACCESS ABILITY Individuals with Disabilities' (IWDs) Committee Fiscal Year 21 year by celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) featuring the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), highlighting the Excellence in Disability Inclusion Award winners Pepsico and CVS Health and nonprofit organization Who Got Game. Please join us to hear about the disability inclusion programs of Pepsico and CVS Health; ODEP's programs/practices shared with employers/contractors and; Who Got Game efforts to assist IWDs, as well as, its interest in partnering with other organizations.  

Attendees will gain a better understanding of OFCCP and its role in safeguarding the employment rights of protected veterans.  

We are providing federal contractors the opportunity to attend a compliance assistance event that offers a basic understanding of the compliance evaluation process. This event should help attendees determine what additional preparations they may need to undertake to prepare for a scheduled compliance evaluation. The compliance assistance event should also generally help attendees build their knowledge about compliance, as well as support contractor long-term voluntary compliance and potentially reduce the cost of compliance.

Attendees will be provided helpful hints and best practices in understanding your obligations as a federal contractor when monitoring your Section 503 obligations.

In particular, the agency invites input on the following:

1. How can OSHA deliver better whistleblower customer service?
2. What kind of assistance can OSHA provide to help explain the agency’s whistleblower laws to employees and employers?
3. Are there particular whistleblowing issues in the healthcare, retail, and grocery industries that OSHA should be aware of?

Commissioner William W. Beach will speak on how the Agency has continued to collect data and keep the numbers coming during a pandemic. Next, Julie Hatch Maxfield, Associate Commissioner of Employment and Unemployment Statistics, will discuss how labor market data have changed over the course of 2020. A short Q&A will follow each presentation.
