The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Baltimore District Office will be hosting a series of Outreach events for Workers and Job Seekers. The Protecting Your Workplace Rights presentation focuses on workers and their rights. It provides an overview of OFCCP, our laws we enforce and how to identify discrimination and file a complaint with OFCCP. If you would like to know about your workplace rights and protections, we invite you to join us.

Requesting and Negotiating Reasonable Accommodations in the Workplace Webinar

Lisa Mathess, Principal Consultant with JAN, will introduce attendees to JAN and its services, provide an overview of the accommodation process, and discuss practical tips for attendees to enhance their ability to request and negotiate job accommodations. OFCCP will then provide an overview of the agency and the laws it enforces, discuss how to identify discrimination, and provide attendees with information on how to file a complaint with OFCCP.

This Webinar should help federal contractors determine what additional preparations they may need to meet the equal employment opportunity and affirmative action (EEO/AA) program requirements of Executive Order (EO) 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 503) and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA). The compliance assistance event should generally help federal contractors build their knowledge about compliance as well as support long-term voluntary contractor compliance and potentially reduce the cost of compliance.
