ILAB-funded technical assistance projects produce a large body of knowledge and resources, including toolkits, project reports, training manuals, and implementation guides. These resources produced by ILAB’s grantees are presented here in a searchable online library so that they may help support and inform current and future projects to end abusive labor practices worldwide.

This report was carried out with funding from the International Labor Organization (funding provided by the United States Department of Labor), the World Bank, and UNICEF. This report provides an assessment of the social protection system, including an inventory of Uzbekistan’s main social protection (SP) program as well as an analysis of their appropriateness, effectiveness, responsiveness and cost-efficiency and fiscal and financial sustainability. It identifies the main strengths and weaknesses of the system, and offers a set of conclusions and recommendations on strengthening the SP system in Uzbekistan. The key objective of the report is to inform the current and fast-moving reform programs aimed at maintaining a high economic growth rate, increasing competitiveness, and promoting international economic integration. |

Women and the World of Work Uzbekistan. Towards Gender Equality and Decent Work for All.

This report aims to inform policy, legislation, and initiatives that seek to develop and promote decent work for all women and men in Uzbekistan. The analysis is based on a review of available empirical evidence, national law and policy, international labor standards, other published materials, and insights from interviews conducted with representatives of national stakeholders and international partners. The next section sets the overall country context. The report provides information pertaining to labor statistics and their gender responsiveness, employment opportunities, working terms and conditions, social protection, and labor management. |
