This resource manual is intended to support all those wishing to take action against child labor in domestic work and to protect young domestic workers of legal working age. It is designed, in particular, to strengthen the capacity of trade unions and workers' groups, community-based organizations and NGOs to advocate for an end to exploitation and abuse of children in domestic work, and to provide good practice guidance on the best ways of directly assisting these children.

The first section of this document presents a synoptic background of the state’s profile, the development process and the rationale for a State Action Plan. The State Action Plan provides the roadmap for the implementation of the National Policy on the Elimination of Child Labour in Oyo State through a variety of implementation strategies such as awareness raising and resource mobilization. The second section of the document describes the policy environment, existing gaps and recommended interventions. The section also highlights the achievements, gaps and recommended actions to be taken. Section three describes the intervention strategies and M&E framework while section four contains information on the Implementation of the State Action Plan.

This report presents an estimate of the people at risk of forced labor and the risk factors associated with the problem; and presents the results of the field research, which collected qualitative information from key informants and visits to certain farms or plantations. The report also presents the magnitude and characteristics of child labor, through the analysis of official information and field verification and description of the palm and cocoa production processes that incorporate children and adolescents in these activities. This study is the product of a consultancy commissioned from COMUNIDEC by the International Labor Office, and is linked to the expected results of the project "Building effective policies against child labor in Ecuador and Panama" (RLA 104) and the activities of El Plan Global de Acción Financiera.

This report is a prevalence study on child labor in Rwanda’s tea growing areas. The primary objective of the study was to estimate the prevalence of working children and hazardous work in tea production and to better understand child labor dynamics, focusing on tea-growing  areas  of  the  country. This study also serves as a baseline context for the Rwanda Education Alternatives for Children in Tea-growing Areas project (REACH-T) and is the first large scale survey aimed at estimating child labor rates in the tea-growing areas in Rwanda.

This report is the result of a desk review of existing legal instruments (laws, policies, conventions and recommendations, ministerial orders and other legal texts, manuals, and reports). The purpose of the assessment is to identify gaps that hinder the protection of children below working age, as well as hazardous work for children of working age (16-17) years old and make recommendations for strengthening the legal and enforcement instruments to protect children and adhere to conventions and international standards.
