This issue paper addresses the twin challenges of child labor and education exclusion among indigenous children. The paper demonstrates that indigenous children face a higher risk of child labor than other children, and are often significantly over-represented in hazardous work and the worst forms of child labor. These children also face limited access to education, with particular limitations found among indigenous girls. Factors influencing this situation include land dispossession, climate change, migration, and constraints on traditional indigenous livelihoods

A manual for civil society organizations and municipalities for strengthening child protection mechanism by managing cases related to children in a uniformed, organized way. This manual may be used for conducting child protection related trainings, case management, psychosocial support, self-care, and material for self-study.

The second content booklet in a series of four booklets on the DAR-CE Method, a training process to prevent and eradicate child labor in local communities based on the methodology of popular education and cascade training. This second booklet analyzes the hazardous work that children perform around the world and the risks associated with this work. This book also describes the worst forms of child labor that are considered crimes, such as trafficking of children, begging, sexual exploitation, and the use of minors in other illicit activities.

This guide, intended to be used alongside the associated four content booklets, instructs facilitators in administering the DAR-CE Method for the prevention of child labor and the worst forms of child labor. This guide includes course descriptions and materials, instructional techniques, PowerPoint and other visual aids, and other advice for achieving the objectives proposed by the DAR-CE Method.
