This is a report on a workshop meant to raise general awareness among magistrates, law enforcement officers, lawyers, and civil society on the laws and courts established in accordance with 2015 labor laws. The workshop focused particularly on sharing knowledge about slavery and the international standards that are applicable and the participants' role in preventing slavery and forced labor.

The ILO has designed this module to serve as a tool for developing the capabilities of justice operators, particularly in dealing with cases of forced labor, from the criminal legal perspective. A set of guidelines concerning the measurement of forced labor, produced by the ILO for 20th International Conference of Labour Statisticians (Geneva, 10-19 October 2018).  These guidelines are designed to facilitate the measurement of forced labor in different national circumstances and under different measurement objectives.

The guidelines provide recommendations for the collection and analysis of forced labor statistics, and to facilitate the international comparability of forced labor statistics by minimizing definitional and methodological differences across countries.
