This report constitutes an exploratory analysis of two previously selected border areas of Peru: between Peru and Ecuador through Tumbes and the triple border between Peru and Brazil and Colombia. These borders show a growing presence of forced labor and human trafficking, and this report offers a proposal of criteria that allow decisions to be made to carry out future in-depth investigations of these borders by regional governments and public & private institutions.

This is a research study that seeks to document the form of recruitment and economic logic of human trafficking and forced labor, as well as to establish analytical connections with the importance of illegal economies and organized crime in the triple border area of Peru, Brazil, and Colombia. The study seeks to collect data that facilitates the development of intervention strategies and implementation of national public policies for prevention, detection and prosecution.

Endline study for the ARCH project, which assesses measurable changes that occurred throughout the lifespan of the project and compares the findings with those from the baseline survey. The endline survey provides improved understanding of the outcomes of project activities, changes that transpired in the prevalence of child labor in project areas, and assessed possible impacts of the project interventions on the project’s direct beneficiaries.

Diagnosis of Child Labor Coal and Gold Mining Developments and Challenges in Public Policy: This study is an approach to the development of public policies regarding the violations and inequalities that are present in child labor in mining from the perspective of rights and human development, as well as an analysis of the conditions in which these communities find themselves and the consequences reflected in the risk of child labor.

Report on factors that contribute to the vulnerability of migratory workers to slave labor in Brazil, such as exposure to poverty, unemployment, lack of education, lack of healthcare, lack of access to land or production incentives, and a heavy relance of social programs.

The Formalization of Small Mining in Colombia: Experiences From  The Territory: The case studies compiled in this publication analyze the main challenges currently facing artisanal and small-scale mining in its formalization process in Colombia, covering different mining regions of the country, and addressing those challenges related to formalization that are more common in Colombia.

Legalization of Small Mining: The objective of this booklet is to explain to you what mining formalization is, and to give you the necessary tools to understand the obligations that mining title holders who work under a mining title must comply with.

Socio-labor Aspects of Small Mining: Throughout this booklet, you will discover the tools you can use to appropriate the knowledge that applies to mining in labor matters. You will also learn about Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST) and how to implement  it in your operation. In addition, we will address a very sensitive issue in mining: child labor. You will learn about this problem in detail and understand why mining is one of the worst forms of child labor that must be eradicated.

The Alliance for Responsible Mining, within the framework of the Somos Tesoro project, launches its campaign "For my family and for me, I take care of myself!", a message of self-care that reminds miners, their families and their communities of the precautionary measures they must take to avoid the risks existing in Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining.
