WASHINGTON--Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao today announced the 200 appointed delegates to the 2002 National Summit on Retirement Savings scheduled to take place February 27 - March 1, 2002 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.

"The SAVER Summit is a unique opportunity to encourage Americans to save and plan for the future," Chao stated. "It is my privilege today to announce the distinguished group of delegates appointed to the 2002 SAVER Summit. Their knowledge and experience will ensure a meaningful discussion of an issue that is vital to our nation.

WASHINGTON— Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao said she was encouraged by the first step the House of Representatives took today in its passage of the Retirement Security Advice Act that will assist workers in better managing retirement savings by expanding the availability of investment advice.
