Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)

The Site Exposure Matrices (SEM) website has been updated! This update makes the website current through May 15, 2020.  New information is now available for 25 DOE sites including significant additions to the Mound Plant, Savannah River Site, and Y12 Plant profiles.

DOL received 18 public submittals related to toxic substances and disease inputs since the last update on November 15, 2019. Three of those submittals resulted in revisions of the SEM profiles for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (X-10) and the Hanford (1943-present)/PNNL (1965-2004) sites.  DOL reviews of the labor categories in the Department of Energy’s Comprehensive Epidemiologic Data Resource (CEDR) continued and were used to update the Nevada Test Site profile.

Information provided by the DOL District Offices is also being used to update SEM.  Changes were made to the SEM profiles of the following four DOE sites: Canoga Avenue, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

Since the SEM first became available to the public in March 2010, there have been 19 revisions of the SEM website. Prior to the release of each new version, the US Department of Energy (DOE) reviews the new and revised information to ensure that no classification issues exist. If necessary, changes are made. For this most recent version, no changes were required.
