SEM Updated the week of June 2015!
The Site Exposure Matrices (SEM) website has been updated! This update makes the website current through May 18, 2015. New information is now available for 29 DOE sites including Area IV of the Santa Susanna Field Laboratory, the Kansas City Plant, Mallinckrodt Destrehan Street, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, and the Weldon Spring Plant.
There has been a significant increase in the public’s use of the SEM website. Since November 2014, usage (page requests) has increased 192 percent. To date, over 2800 substances have been added to SEM as a result of public input. In almost all cases, DOL responds to public input within one week of receipt.
Since the SEM first became available to the public on March 2010, there have been nine revisions of the SEM website. Prior to the release of a new version, the US Department of Energy (DOE) reviews the new and revised information to ensure that no classification issues exist. If necessary, changes are made. For this most recent version, no changes were required.
