Town Hall Meetings in Denver, Colorado! – On February 20, 2014, DEEOIC hosted two Town Hall Meetings (THMs) for EEOICPA claimants at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm at the IBEW Local 68 Union Hall in Denver, Colorado. The meetings were to discuss medical benefits available under the EEOICPA, with a particular emphasis on home health care. For the second day in a row, following JOTG Town Hall Meetings on the 19th, there was a terrific turnout, with a total of 320 people attending the two sessions to obtain information about medical benefits available under the EEOICPA and how to apply for benefits or request services. A staff member from the Medical Unit in the Denver District Office provided a presentation to those who attended. Simultaneous with these two days of meetings, DEEOIC provided a Traveling Resource Center (TRC). The TRC provided claim status checks and took in new claims over the two days of meetings.
