Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC)
Outreach in Lynchburg, Virginia – Staff from the DEEOIC National Office (NO) hosted an outreach event at the Liberty Mountain Conference Center, 3700 Candler’s Mountain Road, in Lynchburg, Virginia, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Starting at 9:00 am, Acting BOTA Branch Chief Joshua Novack delivered a presentation, speaking on the program, BWX Technologies plant, medical authorizations, bill processing, and the program’s home health care services. Members of the Resource Centers also discussed their role in the program. Following the presentation, staff members from the National Office (NO) and the Oak Ridge Resource Center were available between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm to assist individuals with the filing of new claims, filing for new conditions, and for status updates on existing EEOICPA claims. NO Program Support Specialist Greg Robinson met with and helped all attendees. A total of about 100 people attended the event and 11 new claims were taken.
