P.O. Box 313135
Jamaica, NY 11431-3135
Dear Mr. Friedman:
This is in response to your continuing hardship exemption request for American Federation of Government Employees Local 1760, LM File Number 503-522, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2008. Your request dated August 5, 2009 was received by the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) on August 5, 2009. A continuing hardship exemption request requires the requesting union to demonstrate that it cannot file Form LM-2 electronically without undue burden or expense.
You based your request upon the following information stated in your letter:
You have made many unsuccessful attempts to complete the electronic signature process to file your report electronically. You’ve talked to the software support staff at OLMS and at IdenTrust but still have been unable to affix the electronic signatures to the report.
OLMS grants your continuing hardship exemption request for filing Form LM-2 electronically for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2008, based on the information provided, as it appears that circumstances have prevented you from successfully electronically submitting the form, despite help from the OLMS software support staff IdenTrust.
If you have any further questions about filing Form LM-2 pursuant to the hardship exemption, please call 202-693-0123 and reference your organization’s LM file number.
Sincerely,
Andrew R. Davis, Chief
