This proceeding arose under the standards of conduct provisions of the Civil
Service Reform Act of 1978, 5 U.S.C. 71 20, and the implementing regulations,
29 CFR 457 et seq., as a result of a complaint filed by the Director, Office of
Elections, Trusteeships, and International Union Audits, Office of Labor-
Management Standards, U.S. Department of Labor, against Chapter 247 of the
National Treasury Employees Union concerning its regularly scheduled 1992 and
1994 elections of officers for the positions of President and Executive Vice
President. The parties filed a Stipulation of Settlement calling for the Director to
supervise the respondent's next regularly scheduled election, which will occur
before September 30, 1996 and will include the positions of President and
Executive Vice President. The Stipulation further provides that Guadalupe Ramos
and Margaret Barry shall be eligible for office in the supervised election.
Administrative Law Judge Richard 0. Mills approved the Stipulation of Settlement
in his Recommended Decision and Order dated May 21, 1996. No exceptions to
the Recommended.Decision and Order have been filed. Therefore, pursuant to
29 CFR 458.70, the Recommended Decision and Order is adopted and
incorporated hereto without discussion.
I IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, THAT, the parties take the action agreed to in the Stipulation of Settlement adopted hereto.
