OLMS Introduces New Director Elisabeth Messenger
The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) is pleased to announce the February 24, 2025 appointment of Elisabeth Messenger as Director. Upon earning a journalism degree from the University of South Carolina, Director Messenger put her degree to good use in the publicity department at Atlantic Records in Los Angeles. From there, she learned how to build organizations that would impact culture through positions in operations and business development at Universal Music Group, VEVO, and Beats Music. Elisabeth also spent a year in Belfast, Northern Ireland, working for a charity devoted to peace and reconciliation. Prior to joining OLMS, Elisabeth held leadership roles at several nonprofit organizations focused on free market policies and protecting First Amendment rights.
