Janice Meléndez

Janice Meléndez serves as Acting Chief of the Division of Enforcement (DOE). The Chief of DOE provides leadership and guidance on civil and criminal enforcement actions under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) and related laws. Ms. Meléndez collaborates closely with OLMS field offices and the Office of the Solicitor’s Division of Civil Rights and Labor-Management to ensure effective enforcement of LMRDA provisions. She began her career with OLMS as an investigator in 2005, was promoted to senior investigator in August 2013, and became a DOE Investigator in October 2020. Ms. Meléndez holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Mount Holyoke College and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
