OFCCP Presents: “Proudly They Served – Hiring Today’s Veterans”
The OFCCP Atlanta District Office invites you to attend our upcoming virtual webinar “Proudly They Served – Hiring Today’s Veterans”. During this webinar, you will hear from The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs Atlanta District Office and The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Michael Poyma who will discuss strategies for recruiting, hiring and retaining veteran talent. Attendees will be guided through the various nuances of the largest obstacle to veterans’ employment: the military – civilian cultural gap. Additionally, attendees will leave with takeaways, resources and information that would better assist in the hiring of veterans.
Objectives of this event include: 1) to inform the audience about what the military – civilian cultural gap is in broad terms, and the impact of this divide on veterans’ abilities to obtain suitable employment after military service, 2) to inform and motivate the audience about actions they can take to bridge the military –civilian cultural gap, 3) to empower the audience with resources and opportunities to expand their network, all to help our veterans gain improved employment outcomes.
