Our international grants support projects to combat some of the most abusive labor practices, including the use of child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking in global supply chains. ILAB-funded projects also promote trade partners’ compliance with the labor requirements of U.S. trade agreements and preference programs – helping to ensure a fair global playing field for workers in the United States and around the world.
Results
Strengthening Social Compliance Project01/01/2024 - 12/31/2026 The project aims to prevent labor exploitation by improving the implementation of worker-driven social compliance systems that promote labor rights and acceptable conditions of work, including the elimination of forced labor in supply chains. The project will be piloted in the Indonesian palm oil sector to create a model for robust social compliance systems. |
