This document presents the main findings of a June-November 2020 study by the OFFSIDE (ILO) project assessing the impacts of water access interventions (undertaken by the ProHuerta Programme) on the organization of work in family agriculture. Specifically, this study examined the ways that improved access to water contributed to the prevention of child labor, especially in the agricultural and rural sector.

This training manual was developed within the framework of the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) "Together Against  Child  Labor  in Tunisia" (PROTECTE) project. The  objective  of  this  project  is  to  provide  support  to  the  Tunisian Government  and  key  stakeholders  in  the  implementation  of the  National  Action Plan to Combat Child Labor(PAN-TN). This manual is a technical training tool intended for field workers (labor inspectors, medical labor inspectors,  social  workers, child  protection  officers,  judicial  police officers, social partners  and civil society) working with children at risk of and/or engaged in child labor. This manual should enable field actors to understand the key concepts, normative framework and good practices related to child labor; appreciate the importance of taking child labor into consideration in their areas of work; recognize their role in protecting children from exploitation; and transform the knowledge gained from the training into concrete measures that reduce the prevalence of child labor.

Toolkit developed as part of Objective 3 of CAPSA Project, designed to assist Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in implementing adequate due diligence and responsible business conduct towards prevention and elimination or abolition of child labour. The toolkit provides SMEs with practical guidelines on how businesses can be involved in child labour and how they could contribute to its elimination.

Three Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs) designed to help coffee producers, traders, and labor brokers identify potential labor risks in their operations and supply chains and to provide them with concrete steps that they can take to address identified risks. This is one of 12 tools comprising the Socially Sustainable Sourcing Toolkit (S3T) and is Appendix 11.

A technical tool designed to help coffee roasters, traders, and producers to ensure that the rights of workers in their supply chains are respected; reduce the risks of forced labor and child labor; and promote and fair, safe and humane conditions of work. This is one of 12 tools comprising the Socially Sustainable Sourcing Toolkit (S3T) - Appendix 12.

Guide presenting a framework for a voluntary independent verification system for coffee companies willing to leverage transparency and accountability as an integral part of their ethical sourcing practices and systems. This is one of 12 tools comprising the Socially Sustainable Sourcing Toolkit (S3T) - Appendix 13.

Guide for coffee companies on how to write (and what to include in) public reports on their activities and progress addressing human rights issues within their supply chains. This tool synthesizes the approaches used in the UNGP Reporting Framework and GRI Reporting Standard. This is one of 12 tools comprising the Socially Sustainable Sourcing Toolkit (S3T) - Appendix 14.

A guide designed to provide coffee companies with actionable recommendations and best practices on the design and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies that will allow for the creation of constructive relationships that maximize the creation of shared value in coffee supply. This is one of 12 tools comprising the Socially Sustainable Sourcing Toolkit (S3T) - Appendix 3.

Methodologies to address child labor from the Municipalities: The case of Jardín América - This document presents the experience of the Municipal Model for the Prevention and Eradication of Child Labor in the period 2020-2021, offering elements for reflection to those who are interested in scaling it up or replicating it in other municipalities with the proper contextualization.
