This investigation documents presence of forced labor in logging camps, which evidences debt bondage, threats and punishments in the workplace, among others, and shows the presence of an extensive -informal and precarious- recruitment system concentrated in river ports. Sustained in interviews with workers and ex-workers, the field work carried out in the triple border allows to understand the precariousness of a scenario crossed by illegal economies, a porous control system and a wide informal dynamic. |
