This edition of the project’s newsletter will provide a brief update on The Cooperation On Fair, Free, Equitable Employment (COFFEE) Project over the course of the first quarter of 2020, including developments around the COVID-19 pandemic. As you are already aware, the coffee supply chain has been experiencing a turbulent landscape with price volatility in the last few years and this new crisis only exacerbates the challenges ahead, with consumers continuing to drink coffee, but likely purchasing less expensive coffee brands.

This report provides a summary of the activities that were led by Partners of the Americas and the partnering Paraguay Government and organizations for Project Okakuua. The report lays out the project's focus on combating child and forced labor, the activities that took place in different regions to promote education, and all other activities and initiatives led by the project implementers.

The Child Labour Survey 2015 carried out in Ethiopia collected information on the demographic characteristics of the population, including their education, health, employment, migration, and housing characteristics. The survey covered both the rural and urban areas of the country. It was conducted in 721 enumeration selected areas consisting of 21, 526 private households from 25 May to 23 July 2015. Basic information on all persons living in private households was solicited. The population targeted by the survey was the group of children aged 5 to 17 years.

As part of the implementation of the NAP-NT, particularly with regard to the analysis of the prevalence of child labor, the Tunisian government, with the technical and financial support of the ILO, entrusted the INS with the conduct of a first survey in Tunisia on the phenomenon. The survey was conducted among households to collect information on this subject that is both important and useful for political and social purposes.

This pre-KAP study is part of the CARING Gold Mining Project of ILO and Ban Toxics, which will mobilize stakeholders to address issues of child labor and poor working conditions in ASGM in the Phillipine municipalities of Labo and Paracale, Camarines Norte and T'boli, South Cotabato.

This is a confidential questionnaire that asks respondents about household, educational, and demographic characteristics, among others, to assess respondent's risk of falling into forced labor.

Board game to be used in the administration of Module 10 ("A Smart Migrant and Job Seeker") of My-PEC's 3-R Trainings.

Training module in the 3-R Trainer's Kit.  This module provides practical knowledge and tools on safe migration and job search for older youth and adults. The first unit explains how to benefit from migration, engage in safe migration and avoid the risks of human trafficking. The second unit provides practical steps in seeking employment, from setting employment goals and doing job searches to applying for jobs and preparing for job interviews.
