This edition of the project’s newsletter will provide a brief update on The Cooperation On Fair, Free, Equitable Employment (COFFEE) Project over the course of the first quarter of 2020, including developments around the COVID-19 pandemic. As you are already aware, the coffee supply chain has been experiencing a turbulent landscape with price volatility in the last few years and this new crisis only exacerbates the challenges ahead, with consumers continuing to drink coffee, but likely purchasing less expensive coffee brands. |

Ethiopia National Child Labour Survey 2015

The Child Labour Survey 2015 carried out in Ethiopia collected information on the demographic characteristics of the population, including their education, health, employment, migration, and housing characteristics. The survey covered both the rural and urban areas of the country. It was conducted in 721 enumeration selected areas consisting of 21, 526 private households from 25 May to 23 July 2015. Basic information on all persons living in private households was solicited. The population targeted by the survey was the group of children aged 5 to 17 years. |

As part of the implementation of the NAP-NT, particularly with regard to the analysis of the prevalence of child labor, the Tunisian government, with the technical and financial support of the ILO, entrusted the INS with the conduct of a first survey in Tunisia on the phenomenon. The survey was conducted among households to collect information on this subject that is both important and useful for political and social purposes. |
