ILAB-funded technical assistance projects produce a large body of knowledge and resources, including toolkits, project reports, training manuals, and implementation guides. This qualitative research report presents data on factors leading to the prevalence of child labor in Timor-Leste. These factors include cultural norms, gender disparities, and poverty. The data also confirms that social assistance was often found to be insufficient to stop child labor. The report concludes with recommendations based on the findings of the report. |

This summary report presents findings and recommendations following a comprehensive study commissioned by ILO1 to understand the impact that COVID-19 has and will continue to have upon the incidence and dynamics of child labour in Myanmar. Fieldwork was conducted remotely from Yangon and incorporated 6 focal states and regions as identified by ILO: Ayeyarwady Region, Bago Region, Kayin State, Mon State, Shan State and Yangon Region. All fieldwork took place between July 2020 –and January 2021. |
