Guide for the Responsible Management and Alternatives for the Elimination of Mercury in Work Environments of the Mining Sector: Throughout this guide, we will describe the processes in small gold mining that are normally carried out using mercury. We will also detail the sources of contamination to this chemical element, which mining workers are exposed to, and the effects this has on health. This is done with the aim of providing the tools and knowledge to carry out these processes safely and responsibly.

Technical Aspects of Small Mining: The objective is to explain the technical mining construction and operation methods, the requirements that must be met to carry it out in a responsible manner while taking into account the technical, environmental, economic, labor and social aspects. In addition, the guides, formats and procedures, which were created to regulate this activity and to standardize the processes, are described.

Environmental Aspects of Small Mining: The objective is to explain  why it is important to carry out the mining operation in compliance with environmental regulations and requirements, what methodology can be applied to identify, assess and manage the environmental impacts present in your operation, give you the environmental guidelines that you must comply with for the formalization process, and understand the terms of reference that must be followed to have the environmental license required by the competent authority.

Economic and Administrative Aspects of Small Mining: In this booklet we will suggest a methodology to plan and project your mining company into the future, we will explain how to make the decision to invest in a mining company and how to calculate what you must produce to at least cover your operating costs and expenses.

This report contains the results of a survey on child labor in Ukraine. The purpose of the survey is to expand the knowledge base and improve data on child labor in Ukraine as a part of the national strategy of the elimination of child labour, especially its worst forms.

The 2015 National Child Labour Survey (NCLS) was a nationwide survey designed to collect data on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of working children aged 5-17 years.  The 2015 NCLS was supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO) through its Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work Branch (FUNDAMENTALS).  The 2015 NCLS was conducted by the National Statistical Office (NSO) in collaboration with Ministry of Labour, Youth and Manpower Development (MoLYMD) and Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development (MoAIWD).

Baseline study conducted in order to:
1) Estimate the prevalence of child labor in 4 target districts by sex and by age group, including the percentage of children working, the percentage of children in child labor and hazardous child labor (HCL) as well as the proportion of children at high risk (CAHR) of engaging in child labor;
2) Provide baseline values for project indicators,
3) Provide context-related information on: household/family characteristics for children in child labor, formal/non-formal education opportunities for children, employment opportunities for youth 15-17, and involvement of cocoa processing/buying companies and farmer unions/cooperatives.

This pre-KAP survey assessed the extent of knowledge, attitudes and practice on child labor and related working conditions in ASGM in Ghana, as well as identified gaps in behaviorial and attitudinal change towards the elimination of child labor and the improvement of working conditions in the ASGM sector.
