In Malaysia, domestic workers do not enjoy the same rights as other workers—making them vulnerable to forced labor and exploitation. Employers determine how domestic workers are treated at their workplace. Many workers are often abused and their rights are undermined. This video highlights the need for changed behavior of employers. It raises awareness about the plight of domestic workers and how the legal system must address it. The film is produced by Project Liber8. It was supported by the USDOL-funded ILO Bridge project “From Protocol to Practice: A Bridge to Global Action on Forced Labour”. |
