This study focuses on the attitudes and behavior of police officers around child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking (CFT). The study is based on a randomized controlled trial that surveyed over 1,000 law enforcement officers in Nepal and examined the effects of three types of campaigns focused on raising greater awareness about CFT among law enforcement officers. |

A review of the gaps in the academic literature on child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking

A literature review of child labor and forced labor works in the major research bibliographic databases. Review queries yielded 614 original research papers published since 2010. This review found that the published literature overemphasizes research on forced labor. Impact evaluations, especially randomized control trials are rare. Hence, the literature is far from providing a complete toolkit of what works for child labor and forced labor. |
