A study conducted to support national efforts to eliminate Worst Forms of Child Labor (WFCL) in the mining and quarrying sector. Specifically, the study aims at the following objectives: To examine the scope of the problem of child labor in mining and quarrying; to find out the nature and dimensions of child labor in mining and quarrying, including the extent of trafficking into the sector especially of children from other regions and countries; and to recommend measures to enhance interventions against child labor in the mining and quarrying sector in Ghana. |

This school and community report on the 64 CCP communities reveal that majority of the communities are lacking of many economic and physical infrastructure, including education and health infrastructure. Child labor also seems to be common place in these communities.
