Hand-outs and resources to be used to accompany presentation materials during course "Combating child labour in Myanmar: A course for Civil Society Organizations" (Burmese/Myanmar).  

Supplemental materials for course "Combating child labour in Myanmar: A course for Civil Society Organizations" (Burmese/Myanmar).  This document provides supplemental information about child labour, ILO global estimates, international standards and key roles and actions for specific stakeholders for course facilitators. You are encouraged to review this material prior to implementing the course; it should be used alongside the facilitator’s guide and other course materials.

Mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative ) study on the causes, mechanism and consequences of early marriage in Ethiopia, focusing on Amhara National Regional State – one of the regions with the highest rate of early marriage. Study aims: investigate the psychosocial and health effects of early marriage, and inform the developmental, policy and intervention demands of the nation with evidence-based research to mitigate the problem of early marriage and its effects.

Training module in the 3-R Trainer's Kit.  This module discusses the key responsibilities of workers and and explains their fundamental rights at work. In the first unit, participants are familiarized with workers’ basic responsibilities at work and in the family. The second unit gives an overview of the fundamental principles and rights at work as agreed by ILO member States in 1998. Emphasis is given to the principles: “No to Discrimination” and “Right to Organize”, as these are vital for realizing decent work for all workers in the global economy. The unit concludes with an introduction to decent work for domestic workers. Finally, Unit 3 discusses priority health issues at work: maternity protection, occupational safety and health and fair treatment of workers living with HIV and Aids.

This video is the collaboration of two Myanmar artists with the ILO, Nyan Kyal Say who created the video animation, and Saw Phoe Kwar who composed the music and song. It is aimed at raising awareness on child labour for Myanmar campaign against child labour.
