The purpose of this report is to share the findings of the Community Asset Appraisal (CAA) mapping implemented in 15 communities in the two ARCH Child Labor Free Zones (CLFZs). The CAA is intended to support the targeted communities to discover what assets and needs are important in preventing and responding to child labor. Of note, "Annex A: Community Advocates" in the document has been removed for privacy purposes. 

Support Activity Sheets for "Sowing Dreams" Readings: In this supportive material to the book of stories "Sembrando Sueños" the sudent or teacher will be able to find a series of creative, reasoning or exercise activities that involve the four linguistic skills- speaking, attentive listening, writing and reading comprehension, as well as grammar and syntax activities.

This reference material is an addendum to the School Management Committee Resource Handbook. This addendum introduces three important reference materials: Child Labour, Governance and Leadership. Child labour is captured under Section 2 (Access and participation) of the training manual. Leadership and governance is captured under section 3 (management efficiency). This addendum seeks to provide information to trainers/facilitators using the updated SMC Training Manual.

This SMC Training Manual seeks to provide basic guide for the training of School Management Committees. It seeks to help facilitators and SMCs understand what is already in the SMC Resource Manual. This Training Manual particularly focuses on issues of Child Labor and Education and has therefore expanded on topics under Child Rights in the Resource Manual. This is as a result of the greater recognition that the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service and its development partners give to the issue of child labor and education. Contributions for this publication were provided by the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) (with sponsorship from ActionAid and Big Lottery Fund) and the ILO-IPEC’s project RAF/10/54/USA, funded by the United States Department of Labor.

As part of the process to conduct an impact evaluation on the Ñaupaqman Puriy Kereimba: Combating Exploitive Child Labor (ÑPK) project in Bolivia, this summary describes the approach that was taken in the research design for the ÑPK impact evaluation.

Study on the Employment Situation of Adolescent Workers in El Alto and Plan 3000: a study of the labor market and access to the market for lower-income working adolescents in the city of El Alto de La Paz and Plan 3,000 of Santa Cruz. The study should provide more quantitative and qualitative elements on the structure of adolescent work in the form of i) self-employment or self-employment, ii) dependent employment in the informal economy, and iii) dependent employment in the formal economy.

A needs assessment was carried out to identify the main issues that keep children out of school in the target project districts and to design appropriate interventions. The study involved a qualitative research that used secondary data, including literature review of legislative, policy and program documents related to education to ascertain the state of education in Ghana.

A presentation with the aim of helping the audience to understand the principles of occupational health and safety relevant to child labor, to be able to use a health and safety approach in identifying and quantifying hazardous work, and to be able to apply a health and safety approach on cocoa farming.
