A student/participant activity/workbook for use in the EducaFuturo course "Peces", level 2.

This resource manual is intended to support all those wishing to take action against child labor in domestic work and to protect young domestic workers of legal working age. It is designed, in particular, to strengthen the capacity of trade unions and workers' groups, community-based organizations and NGOs to advocate for an end to exploitation and abuse of children in domestic work, and to provide good practice guidance on the best ways of directly assisting these children.

This report presents an estimate of the people at risk of forced labor and the risk factors associated with the problem; and presents the results of the field research, which collected qualitative information from key informants and visits to certain farms or plantations. The report also presents the magnitude and characteristics of child labor, through the analysis of official information and field verification and description of the palm and cocoa production processes that incorporate children and adolescents in these activities. This study is the product of a consultancy commissioned from COMUNIDEC by the International Labor Office, and is linked to the expected results of the project "Building effective policies against child labor in Ecuador and Panama" (RLA 104) and the activities of El Plan Global de Acción Financiera.

This baseline report addresses the information gap on the subject of child labor and provides guidance to ARCH management in the design and implementation of the programs aimed at reducing child labor in Liberia.

This study aims at developing an in–depth understanding of the child labor phenomenon in selected pastoralist communities with the aim of informing the formulation and/or revision of public policies and programmes on education and child labor elimination. Specifically, this study sets forth to assess the following dimensions of this phenomenon: the extent of pastoralist children’s participation in schooling; the magnitude and nature of child labor with respect to herding of livestock in both bomas (homesteads) and cattle camps; understanding the different hazards associated with child related activities; and gauging the attitude and perceptions of children, youth and their parents on education and child labor in their communities.

This study aims to support national efforts to eliminate Worst Forms of Child Labor (WFCL) in the fishing sector. The purpose is to create a shared platform for action against child labor and trafficking in that sector. Specifically, the study's objectives are (i) to examine the scope of the problem of child labor in fishing on Lake Volta (ii) to find out the nature and dimensions of child labor in Lake Volta fishing, including the extent of trafficking into the sector especially of children from other regions and countries. (iii) to find out how the marketing and supply chains work and the underlying motive of fishing operators regarding the use of children (iv) to recommend measures to enhance interventions against child labor in the fishing sector in Ghana; and (v) to support the validation of research findings.

Specifically, the study aims at the following objectives:  To  examine  the  scope  of  the  problem  of  child  labor  in  mining  and quarrying; to find out the nature and dimensions of child labor in mining and quarrying, including the extent of trafficking into the sector especially of children from other regions and countries; and to recommend measures to enhance interventions against child labor in the mining and quarrying sector in Ghana.

Report presenting results of a study meant to provide information on factors contributing to child labor and child trafficking mainly in the traditional weaving sector in Ethiopia. The research includes information on the reasons why children engage in child labor and what factors are contributing to child trafficking within the country both from the source (push) and destination points (pull).
