A syllabus for a course on forced labor and the role of unions. The course was intended to offer a dynamic perspective of important concepts such as forced labor, as well as child labor and freedom of association, equality and non-discrimination, and occupational safety and health.

A syllabus for a course for personnel of the labor inspection system that provides s a basic introduction to the theoretical and practical foundations of the fundamental rights at work recognized by the International Labor Organization in its Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights of 1998. In this way, work will be carried out on pedagogical activities gathered in four large modules : (i) freedom of work and forced labor; ii) child labor; iii) Equal opportunities and non-discrimination; (iv) freedom of association.

This is an informational video that describes the efforts made in 2018 in the region of Boqueron for Project Okakuua. The narrator depicts different methods to prevent forced and child labor as well as provide decent work for youth and adolescents. Strategies for child labor prevention include government, civil sector, and private sector capacity building, government engagement, awareness-raising, and training amongst others.

This is a video of the conference marking the closure of Project Okakuaa after 6 years of work to combat child labor and promote labor laws that combat forced labor. The video features video clips of the closing conference and its attendees as well as speeches from the President of Partners of the Americas and implementing partners from the Government of Paraguay amongst others.

A market analysis and beneficiary needs assessments commissioned by the BRIDGE project as part of an effort to increase awareness and access to livelihood programmes for victims of forced labour. 

The specific objectives of the assessment were:

-Mapping of recently completed and on-going livelihood programmes for forced labour target group, particularly Haruwa-Charuwawith the support of relevant development partners;

-Analyze labour market situation, identification of trades/skills in demands, possibilities of employment and self-employment inrespective trades;

-Undertake needs assessment of targeted gender-sensitive beneficiary of forced labour, particularly Haruwa-Charuwa;

-Recommendations for cost-effective, target group (forced labour, particularly Haruwa-Charuwa) focused, sustainable livelihood options/programmes linking with employment or self-employment. 

After seven years of success in Colombia, the Somos Tesoro project is celebrating its conclusion with a webinar to present its work mobilizing diverse stakeholders in formalizing mining activities & stopping child labor. This webinar will feature the voices of artisanal mining communities companies & national authorities who have participated in the project.

CAP Survey - Results Report: The NOEMI Project is inspired by adolescents and young people aged 16 to 24 who seek opportunities for their educational inclusion and better preparation for the world of work. Its objective is to contribute to the improvement of public policies related to the training and labor insertion of adolescents and young people. In order to gather information to measure the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the main actors with whom the NOEMÍ project carries out actions, a survey was designed to measure Knowledge Attitudes and Practices (CAP) by the actors involved in the Project.

This report outlines the results of a Technical Expert Committee review of the RICHES project and the economic empowerment toolkit it designed.  This resource lists the members of the Technical Expert Committee, highlights their preliminary input and feedback on the tools, and presents implications for tool and/or toolkit revisions.

Employs a cross-sectional method incorporating both qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative methods were used to capture data through mini-survey with direct Haruwa-Charuwabeneficiaries, desk review from literature and secondary sources on income and financial indicators measuring business viability. Qualitative methods were used to collect data through purposively selected Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Key Informant Interview (KII), field observation and interaction with the direct Haruwa-Charuwabeneficiaries, training service providers, NGOs, financial institutions and employersto gather in depth information and understanding of livelihoods and market structure. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used to collect Haruwa-Charuwaaspirations on business preferences.
