Oyo State Action Plan for the Elimination of Child Labour in Nigeria (2014-2017)

The first section of this document presents a synoptic background of the state’s profile, the development process and the rationale for a State Action Plan. The State Action Plan provides the roadmap for the implementation of the National Policy on the Elimination of Child Labour in Oyo State through a variety of implementation strategies such as awareness raising and resource mobilization. The second section of the document describes the policy environment, existing gaps and recommended interventions. The section also highlights the achievements, gaps and recommended actions to be taken. Section three describes the intervention strategies and M&E framework while section four contains information on the Implementation of the State Action Plan. |

The key research objective is to enhance sustainable livelihoods and improve the economic and social wellbeing through improving knowledge in agricultural practices and access to innovative opportunities to sustain increased productivity and reduce dependence on child labor. The report also includes a guide to help enhance trainers' capacity to engage with farmers. |

A capacity and coordination review commissioned by the ILO/IPEC Cocoa Communities Project in Ghana. This is volume I of the report on the assessment, detailing the findings and recommendations for strengthening national capacity to coordinate and implement the NP on child labor in Ghana. Volume II of the report contains more detailed information on the process and methodology employed in the assessment as well as annexes. The reports are contained in two volumes to make it easier to read. The review looks into national, district and local capacity to implement the NPA and to coordinate interventions to eliminate child labor. The main focus for the exercise is on coordination, but other dimensions of capacity are also explored. Therefore, this report includes conclusions and recommendations pertaining to coordination, but also towards other dimensions of capacity that were found to be critical. |

A report on the outcome of three (3) training/capacity-building workshops for Cocoa and Agriculture Extensions officers: 1 TOT for training officers, and 2 phases of trainings for front line staff of the two Extensions Services (DAES and CSSVDCU). The first (TOT) roudn of trainings aimed to develop a corps of trainers on Child Labour issues in the agriculture and cocoa sub‐sector, and to enable these two Extension Services to mainstream child labour issues into their normal institutional trainings for purposes of sustainability of child labour interventions in the sector. The second round of trainings aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills in managing and preventing child labour as well as providing relevant support for improved OSH in the sector. |
