This is an informational graphic video that describes what Project Okakuua is, the organizations and ministries involved in carrying out the project's activities, and its funders. The video goes through the project's operation model as well as the results from the implementors' efforts and what lead to success.

A market analysis and beneficiary needs assessments commissioned by the BRIDGE project as part of an effort to increase awareness and access to livelihood programmes for victims of forced labour. 

The specific objectives of the assessment were:

-Mapping of recently completed and on-going livelihood programmes for forced labour target group, particularly Haruwa-Charuwawith the support of relevant development partners;

-Analyze labour market situation, identification of trades/skills in demands, possibilities of employment and self-employment inrespective trades;

-Undertake needs assessment of targeted gender-sensitive beneficiary of forced labour, particularly Haruwa-Charuwa;

-Recommendations for cost-effective, target group (forced labour, particularly Haruwa-Charuwa) focused, sustainable livelihood options/programmes linking with employment or self-employment. 

Child Labor in the Coffee Sector in Colombia - This  document  is  a synthesis  of  the  "Study  of  Child  Labor  in  the  Coffee  Sector  in Colombia." The  document  is  divided  into five sections. The first  section presents  the  concepts  associated  with  child  labor, the  current  regulatory  framework,  and  the  scope  and limitations of the study. The second section summarizes the methodology designed and applied in the study. The third section describes the characteristics of the children and adolescents and their households, as well as their  participation  in  coffee  activities; the  risks  of  child  labor  in  the  sector; and  the  actors'  perspective. The fourth section analyzes and discusses the causes and implications of child labor for the coffee sector; the causes of the participation of children and adolescents in coffee activities ;and the characteristics of the recreational and extracurricular opportunities for children and adolescents. The final part of the paper presents the public policy recommendations that emerge from the study's findings.

It is important to mention that this Study was the Colombia Avanza project ́s first approach in its analysis of the participation of children and adolescents in the production of coffee in Colombia.

Technical Document on Child Labor In The Coffee Sector Derived From, “Study Of Child Labor in The Coffee Sector In Colombia,” Carried Out by the Center for Regional Coffee and Business Research - This document is a technical summary report derived from the Study produced by CRECE in 2020, which describes its main findings on child labor. It is important to mention that this Study was the Colombia Avanza project ́s first approach in its analysis of the participation of children and adolescents in the production of coffee in Colombia.

Employs a cross-sectional method incorporating both qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative methods were used to capture data through mini-survey with direct Haruwa-Charuwabeneficiaries, desk review from literature and secondary sources on income and financial indicators measuring business viability. Qualitative methods were used to collect data through purposively selected Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Key Informant Interview (KII), field observation and interaction with the direct Haruwa-Charuwabeneficiaries, training service providers, NGOs, financial institutions and employersto gather in depth information and understanding of livelihoods and market structure. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used to collect Haruwa-Charuwaaspirations on business preferences. 

The purpose of this guide is to help Veracruz state and municipal administration officials strengthen the institutional capacity and public policies on the prevention and eradication of child labor, and the protection of adolescents of the legal age to perform labor. This guide is meant to be used as a reference document.
