A report that assesses the intersection of child labor, working conditions in women’s enterprises, and women's economic empowerment initiatives at a global level, and will inform the development of the RICHES toolkit. Two pilot countries, El Salvador and the Philippines, were chosen for an in-depth study and for testing the tools to evaluate their global applicability.

Have You Heard of Pilares Network? Do You Know What It Is and What It Does? - Zaragoza: In order to work together for children in the municipality, 24 social organizations from Zaragoza created the Pilares network last October. Full of enthusiasm, the men, women and young people prepare to observe how child labor is presented in the villages and urban centers, and promote joint actions so that more and more boys, girls and adolescents can live their life cycle development without having responsibilities that correspond to adults.

A proposal for a study that would address the labour inspectorate in three counties – Busia, Kilifi and Kitui counties – in Kenya. Addressees inspectorate capacity to supervise decent working conditions at informal and formal workplaces, to disseminate information to vulnerable and marginalized youth at the workplace, and to ensure compliance with the legal Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) provisions. Study would also identify any existing inconsistencies in law and practice.

Report on a study designed to identify weaknesses/gaps in current national policies, laws and regulations relating to workplace based training. Study mainly used a desktop review of literature on national policies, laws and regulations that address workplace-based training programs for youth, including vulnerable and marginalized youth, in particular focus those affecting adolescents at or above the legal working age who are engaged in or at risk of engaging in child labor.

Results of a "rapid review" study of existing local WBT (workplace-based training) initiatives implemented for or beneficial to vulnerable and marginalized youth in Kenya. Specific points covered: cataloguing past and current employers that participate(d) in WBT programs; cataloguing past and present WBT programs; identifying the key features of the best practices and lessons learned; and recommending how such best practices can be further developed and implemented by WBT providers at county and/or national levels.

Lizeth is part of one of the beneficiary households that the Somos Tesoro project has trained in family economics and savings models. The Pact team took on the task of advising families in the community on financial management, creating a family budget and eliminating superfluous expenses, to improve their economic solvency.

Survey of the Final Line of the Somos Tesoro Project: This study measures the change in the prevalence of Child Labor in eight municipalities in the departments of Antioquia and Boyacá in Colombia, where the NGO Pact, carried out the Somos Tesoro project between the end of 2013 and 2017, focused on child labor in mining. This report statistically tested the difference in variables and indicators of interest, between a baseline survey (November 2014 - February 2015) and the final line survey (March - April 2018). The quantitative analysis is complemented with a qualitative analysis carried out from four focus groups with parents of households participating in the Project.

This final evaluation report provides an overview of AYEDI project activities which aimed to foster decent work opportunities for vulnerable youth ages 15 to 17,  to increase the provision of basic needs of adoloscent youth and children by caregivers, as well as to increase small-scale employers' compliance with child labor laws. The report also includes a breakdown of the evaluation scope and objectives, the data collection and analysis protocol, the findings of the evaluation, as well as the lessons learned and good practices.

This case study report provides an overview of the AYEDI project goals as well as an overview of the activities executed  by the project, such as the creation of AYEDI Youth Empowerment Clubs which helped to prepare youth to select and succeed in their livelihood pathways. The case study also reveals the elements contributing to the success of the project as well as an overview of the key lessons learned.
