Malawi: 2015 National Child Labour Survey Report

The 2015 National Child Labour Survey (NCLS) was a nationwide survey designed to collect data on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of working children aged 5-17 years. The 2015 NCLS was supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO) through its Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work Branch (FUNDAMENTALS). The 2015 NCLS was conducted by the National Statistical Office (NSO) in collaboration with Ministry of Labour, Youth and Manpower Development (MoLYMD) and Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development (MoAIWD). |

A report presenting the results of a baseline and prevalence survey on the topic of child labor administered to caregivers and children in Chadiza, Chipata, Katete, Lundazi, and Petauke in Eastern province of Zambia. The first part of the report covers the background information of the baseline study followed by detailed description of the approach used to collect, analyze and present the baseline findings. The report highlights some of the study limitations before presenting the baseline results. This is then followed by the conclusions and recommendations. |
