A compilation of three standalone reports on the situation of children in the brick, zari, and carpet industries across 49 areas of Nepal, based on survey data, case studies, and policy reviews. This information was then used to design awareness raising and prevention activities and to determine rehabilitative services to protect children from further harm and inform local government and NGO policies and future programs. |

Forced labor vulnerability and related labor rights concerns for Bangladeshi workers in the garment sector of Mauritius: findings from interviews with returned Bangladeshi migrant workers

This report presents the findings from a series of interviews with returned Bangladeshi migrant workers with recent experience working in the garment sector of Mauritius in an effort to understand the nature and characteristics of forced labor vulnerability in the interview population. Interviewers analyzed respondents' experiences according to a set of ILO forced labor indicators. Findings include a prevalence of reported forced labor, exploitative fees charged by labor agents as a condition of employment, deceptive recruiting and remuneration processes, and workers having received inadequate medical care. |

This training manual (Annex G) was developed within the framework of the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) "Together Against Child Labor in Tunisia" (PROTECTE) project. The objective of this project is to provide support to the Tunisian Government and key stakeholders in the implementation of the National Action Plan to Combat Child Labor (PAN-TN). This manual is a technical training tool intended for field workers (labor inspectors, medical labor inspectors, social workers, child protection officers, judicial police officers, social partners and civil society) working with children at risk of and/or engaged in child labor. This manual should enable field actors to understand the key concepts, normative framework and good practices related to child labor; appreciate the importance of taking child labor into consideration in their areas of work; recognize their role in protecting children from exploitation; and transform the knowledge gained from the training into concrete measures that reduce the prevalence of child labor. |
