This report presents an assessment of the opportunities and needs for vocational and technical training in various areas of Côte d'Ivoire.  Provides guidance for future training systems that might meet the challenge of ensuring that there is decent work available for young people living in farming communities across the country, providing alternatives to early and dangerous child labor.

This manual is intended as a working tool available to structures and supervisory agents in the agricultural world in general and cocoa producers in particular.

A report on the outcome of three (3) training/capacity-building workshops for Cocoa and Agriculture Extensions officers:  1 TOT for training officers, and 2 phases of trainings for front line staff of the two Extensions Services (DAES and CSSVDCU).  The first (TOT) roudn of trainings aimed to develop a corps of trainers on Child Labour issues in the agriculture and cocoa sub‐sector, and to enable these two Extension Services to mainstream child labour issues into their normal institutional trainings for purposes of sustainability of child labour interventions in the sector.  The second round of trainings aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills in managing and preventing child labour as well as providing relevant support for improved OSH in the sector.

The purpose of this report is to share the findings of the Community Asset Appraisal (CAA) mapping implemented in 15 communities in the two ARCH Child Labor Free Zones (CLFZs). The CAA is intended to support the targeted communities to discover what assets and needs are important in preventing and responding to child labor. Of note, "Annex A: Community Advocates" in the document has been removed for privacy purposes. 

The purpose of this rapid market assessment was to identify and support the development of economically viable and sustainable livelihoods activities that will address long-term livelihood needs of targeted beneficiaries and communities in Liberia.

A qualitative assessment that explores labor practices throughout the supply chain of rubber production within Liberia, employee compensation and benefit structures, community engagement and relations, and policies and practices on child labor and occupational health and safety.

This report presents findings on needs assessments of schools, including teachers and School Management Committees (SMC) in 40 cocoa growing communities. The report feeds into the design and provision of direct educational services to target schools and teachers (including training for teachers).

This reference material is an addendum to the School Management Committee Resource Handbook. This addendum introduces three important reference materials: Child Labour, Governance and Leadership. Child labour is captured under Section 2 (Access and participation) of the training manual. Leadership and governance is captured under section 3 (management efficiency). This addendum seeks to provide information to trainers/facilitators using the updated SMC Training Manual.

Implementation Study "Studies of Value Chains": The present study was carried out in 17 Guarani communities of four captaincies of the Chaco region. Through surveys of producers, housewives and leaders, collected data to analyze the value chains of crops destined for trade, which are corn, beans and peanuts and from raising poultry. Testimonials were also collected on school attendance and the grade incidence of child labor.
